Ellis Hobbs To Play Alongside Asaunte Samuels

Bryant WilsonContributor IApril 26, 2009

Ellis Hobbs has been traded to the Eagles for two fifth-round draft choices (137 and 141 overall) in this years draft.

Those picks(137, 141) were traded to Baltimore for picks 123(4th round) and 198(6th round). With pick 123 the Patriots selected Rich Ohrnberger, OL, Penn State.

That now makes Darius Butler(2009 41st pick overall), Shawn Springs and Leigh Bodden from free agency, and 2008 draft picks Terrence Wheatly(2nd round) and Jonathan Whilhite(4th round) all battling to be a starter.

This gives us some very good depth at CB.

Will edit when more on the story comes.
