Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has been suspended 4 games, as @adamschefter reported. For violating Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 30, 2013
The specific violation is unknown for now for now, but it is not the result of performance-enhancing drugs. Blackmon does have a history of substance abuse, as he was arrested a month after the 2012 NFL draft for a DUI.
Blackmon's suspension is for violating the league police on substance abuse, not performance-enhancing drugs. In other words, not Adderall.— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) April 30, 2013
Blackmon will be eligible to return to the team Sept. 30, which is the day following the Jaguars' game against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts.
