Three quarterbacks went on day 1 of the NFL draft. Do not be surprised if a total of 3 quarterbacks go on Day 2.
Besides the top three QB's (Stafford, Sanchez, Freeman) this years QB crop is really weak.
My prediction is that three teams will take Quarterbacks on Day 2. Do not be surprised if the Carolina Panthers take Nate Davis with the 29th pick in the third round. Michigan State QB Brian Hoyer will go the St. Louis Rams in the later rounds and former OU QB Rhett Bomar will be selected by the San Fransisco 49ers in the 5th round.
As for highly successful collegiate quarterbacks such as Chase Daniel, Graham Harrell, John Parker Wilson, Curtis Painter and others, they will have to wait until Free Agency to pick the teams they will sign with, which might not be a bad thing.
The only other QB prospect who has a chance of being drafted with the other three I predict will be selected on Day 2 is Buffalo's Drew Willy. Do not be surprised if someone like the Seattle Seahawks or Jacksonville Jaguars takes Willy in the 5th-7th round.
