Mike Pelfrey was cruising until getting roughed up in the sixth inning. Four straight hits, including a devastating three-run homer by Prince Fielder, chased the Twins right-hander after 90 pitches. Pelfrey, less than a year out from Tommy John surgery, fell to 2-3 while his ghastly earned-run average actually improved to 7.66.
