Time catches up to the best of us.

Every great baseball player has to hang up the cleats at some point, and the following ball players are being told by Father Time to just call it a career.

Whether it is diminished velocity for a power pitcher or home runs that just aren’t as prolific as they once were, these guys are clearly no longer the stars they once were.

Jason Bay, Adam Dunn, Josh Beckett and Carlos Pena round out a list of players who have obviously seen better days.

Of course, that is merely our list, which really serves to start a grand debate that we encourage you to participate in with suggestions of your own. Just shout out those stars who reached the apex of their career long ago. We will go ahead and help you out with a suggestion of our own: Alex Rodriguez
