Lions Reach Agreement With QB Stafford

NFL.com's Steve Wyche is reporting that the Detroit Lions have reached an agreement with quarterback Matthew Stafford on a contract for six years, possibly including $41.7 million guaranteed. Wyche also reported that the deal could be as high as $78 million.

With this agreement, the St. Louis Rams have a decision to make. Many mock drafts have them taking Baylor offensive tackle Jason Smith or Virginia offensive tackle Eugene Monroe with the second overall pick.
