After spending time as a potential No. 1 overall pick, Star Lotulelei finally got drafted by the Carolina Panthers with the 14th pick.
Not only was Lotulelei considered one of the top defensive tackles by a number of draft analysts, he was also considered one of the best overall prospects.
Lotulelei has an incredible combination of size, speed and athleticism. He's a disruptive player who simply knows how to make an impact in both the running and passing games.
Don't be surprised if Lotulelei becomes a perennial Pro Bowl performer for the Panthers.
The Panthers have a young defense that has talent and Lotulelei will only make them more talented. The pressure he'll create up the middle will help the rest of the defense create plays that will get points in fantasy football.
Lotulelei would start for nearly every team, so he'll absolutely start right away for Carolina. His versatility is a huge plus for the Panthers, but look for him to spend the majority of his time at nose tackle.
The middle of the defensive line was easily the Panthers' weakest point in 2012, and Lotulelei instantly improves it. This was a great pick for a team that appears on the verge of making a run to the playoffs.
This was one of the best value picks of the entire 2013 NFL draft.
