Kevin Youkilis had the biggest Yankees hit over the first five innings of today's game, and then spent the next six innings in the clubhouse, nursing a sore lower back. Youkilis' two-run single, aided somewhat by third baseman Brett Lawrie's failure to pick up the ball before it sailed past him into leftfield, may have been the hit that really won Saturday's game for the Yankees, because without it, David Robertson's eighth-inning implosion might very well have resulted in a 3-1 loss.
