Gossip Galore: Transfer Roundup

Juventus fans want a change of some sort in order to contest for domestic and European honors. But the Juve board might have squashed fans' hopes by assuring that the tinkerman will still be on the benches of Olimpico next season.

Ranieri will have the chance to do the two things he enjoys most in football management; yes, he will be able to rotate his first-team as much as he wants and finish as runner-up every season.

Elsewhere, Gossip Galore's radar has spotted Sir Alex Ferguson's scouts roam the world for talent. The newest player the United scouts identify as a wonder kid-in-the-making is Jose Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro, who is for some reason, also known as 'Dodo'.

Ribeiro is a 17-year-old defender who plays for Corinthians is seen as a player with the attributes to be the long-term replacement of Rio Ferdinand.

Ferguson wants to secure the future of The Red Devils by signing the best youngsters and according to reports, United are in the hunt for Real Valladolid Victor Mongil 16-year-old.

Carlos Tevez is getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities as he is not being used in big games.

Several clubs are interested in the Argentinian forward as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are reportedly tracking Tevez's situation.

Meanwhile CSKA Moscow's Czech striker Tomas Necid is being followed by Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. So among those interested is Arsene Wenger, so you can guess that Necid is still a teenager at 19.

Roy Keane is happy to have signed a contract at Ipswich Town and promises that the club will be playing in the English Premier League in a season's time.

Keane's resume as a player gets him a lot of sympathy and well, gets him a job as manager.

But a promise for promotion at Ipswich coming from a man who spent a whole lot of dough on the likes of Kieran Richardson and Craig Gordon before stepping down from his position as Sunderland manager is not really to be taken seriously.

Surely he has the aggression, temper and nerves to do it, but Gossip Galore wonders if these attributes are what will make him a good manager or get him to crash in managerial woes again.

However, the bottom line is that Keane is back and is surely to bring worldwide audience to watch the Championship. Gossip Galore doesn't believe it just said that.

Finally, there is no gossip without money and there is no talk of money without mentioning, you know who: Manchester City!

City have been snubbed. Yes, it's not old news, they have been snubbed again after trying to lour Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o for £35m.

According to the Cameroon star striker, Eto'o gave City thumbs down after The Blues offered him a contract.

Instead, Eto'o is reportedly willing to commit his future to Barcelona by signing a new contract that will keep him in Barcelona's great club and away from Manchester City's great, well, it doesn't get greater than cash, does it?

That's it for Gossip Galore for now.
