The 2012 football season didn't end the way North Carolina's Brennan Williams hoped it would. The senior tackle suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder during an October game against Duke and missed the rest of the year.
Though Williams, a two-year starter for North Carolina at right tackle, was unable to play in any of the Tar Heels' last four games, he was able to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine (though his workout was limited).
While the shoulder injury remains a concern, Williams played well enough in 22 starts for UNC to merit a look on the second day of the draft. He has good size and an NFL pedigree. Williams' father, Brent Williams, played 11 years in the NFL as a defensive lineman.
