Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

Mets catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture of the first metatarsal in his left foot playing for Triple-A Las Vegas Wednesday, General Manager Sandy Alderson announced today. Alderson said the injury occurred when d'Arnaud took a foul tip off the foot while catching in the sixth inning against the Sacramento River Cats, the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate. It was first called a contusion until X-rays showed the fracture.
