In a clash between Atlantic Division foes, the Boston Celtics traveled to play the Toronto Raptors. This is the fourth and final game between the two teams during the 2012-13 NBA regular season.

The Celtics entered this game at 41-39 overall and 14-26 on the road. They've gone 13-15 since the All-Star break and came into this one in need of a win for postseason momentum.
As for the Raptors, they were 33-48 overall and 20-20 at home prior to this game. Led by Rudy Gay, DeMar DeRozan and Amir Johnson, they've managed to perform at a much higher level since the All-Star break.
