Last week on Raw, a frenetic New Jersey crowd showed its appreciation for The Rock’s overachieving efforts of the past three years by booing him.
Unfortunately, its embittered sentiment toward Rock—whose inability to appear on Raw garnished him heel heat—is not uncommon in some circles.
Despite his herculean efforts to revitalize the WWE’s business, some seem to feel that The Rock should just go back to Hollywood and stay there.
So should The People’s Champ return to the comparatively pampered lifestyle of being an A-list movie star?
Those who say yes may be doing so for entirely different reasons.
On one hand, The Rock’s departure allows for further developments of full-time stars, thus solidifying the WWE’s business.
On the other hand, The Rock washing his hands of the WWE will give a petty company and (some) fans an idea of what they have taken for granted.
