Why Liverpool Fans Would/Would Not Welcome Back Rafa Benitez

Would Liverpool fans welcome Rafa Benitez back to Anfield? The former Reds boss raised the question himself indirectly just last week.

Benitez, who managed Liverpool from 2004 to 2010, hinted last week at a possible return to Liverpool in the future. “I will return to Liverpool one day almost certainly,” he said (per Marca via Sky Sports). “I just don't know when. My daughters and wife are still living there."

So, let’s say Brendan Rodgers were to leave Liverpool in the near future. Would Liverpool fans want to bring Rafa back?

Benitez, 52, led Liverpool to the UEFA Champions League title in 2005 and the FA Cup crown the next season. He’s had success at Liverpool and elsewhere, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he would be welcomed back.

In this clip, B/R World Football Lead Writer Michael Cummings examines whether Liverpool fans would like to have Benitez back at the club. After watching the video, make sure to add your thoughts in the comments below.
