Looking to follow up on last week's standout episode, the Monday, April 15 edition of WWE Raw, which aired from the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, S.C., opened with a video package recapping Ryback's heel turn and CM Punk's return.

Orton and Sheamus take on the Big Show.

Match No. 1: Randy Orton and Sheamus vs. Big Show

Your winners via pinfall: Randy Orton and Sheamus

WWE Raw opened with another handicap rematch from SmackDown, where Orton and Sheamus defeated the Big Show on Friday night. The same result was presented on Raw, as the Big Show came out on the losing end once more. Where exactly is the WWE planning to take this storyline?

Outside of the questionable storyline, this was a good match to kick things off on Raw.

Match Rating: 3/5

3MB came out to the ring and called out The Shield. As 3MB waited, Brock Lesnar made a shocking appearance by responding to the group. Lesnar quickly took care of 3MB, tossing all three members outside the ring. Manager Paul Heyman, who convinced Lesnar to stop his attack against 3MB, said that his client was ready to face Triple H at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in a steel cage match.

Kingston captures the WWE United States title

Match No. 2: Kofi Kingston vs. Antonio Cesaro for the United States Championship

Your winner and new WWE United States champion: Kofi Kingston.

The match itself was excellent, but was Kingston the right pick to capture the United States title? Given the amount of time Cesaro has held the belt and the fact that Kingston needed a major boost in his career, the WWE has given him another opportunity to do something special with the championship gold.

Match Rating: 4/5

The full match of last week's match against Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler aired before Raw went to a commercial break.

Ziggler, who was wearing the World Heavyweight title around his waist, came out to the ring with AJ Lee and Big E Langston. He began to credit himself on winning the World Heavyweight Championship and praised his own abilities.

Alberto Del Rio interrupted Ziggler and walked gingerly to the ring with his ringside partner Ricardo. Del Rio demanded a rematch against Ziggler before Vickie Guerrero stepped forward on the entrance way. Guerrero announced that Del Rio would get his rematch on Raw.

Suddenly, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger headed toward the ring. Swagger went on the offense and attacked Del Rio at ringside, effectively putting an end to any potential rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship belt.

Match No. 3: Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) vs. The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil)

Your winners via pinfall: Team Hell No.

Yet another victory for Team Hell No against the Prime Time Players. Hopefully the WWE will give Team Hell No new opponents instead of rematches.

Match Rating: 2.5/5

Ryback, who was shown on the entrance-way screen, explained his actions against John Cena.

Match No. 4: R-Truth vs. Wade Barrett

Your winner via pinfall: R-Truth.

The crowd sat mostly silent for this match, as it appeared the battle was nothing more than a filler to get Raw moving along.

Match Rating: 2.5/5

Match No. 5: The Great Khali and Santino Marella vs. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes

Your winner via pinfall: Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes.

Another filler match, as this tag team action had absolutely no purpose except to chew up more time on Raw.

Match Rating: 2/5

WWE legend and announcer Jerry Lawler introduced a video package of people dancing to Fandango's music this past week. Fandango was then welcomed to the ring by Lawler.

He took the microphone from Lawler and asked the crowd around the ring if they all wanted to go "Fandangoing" with him. After the crowd failed to pronounce his name correctly, Fandango left the ring as the crowd began dancing.

Match No. 6: Jack Swagger vs. Dolph Ziggler

Your winner via pinfall: Jack Swagger.

Good victory for Swagger. After back-to-back filler matches, Ziggler and Swagger finally made things interesting again on Raw.

As Swagger was celebrating, Del Rio attacked him at the entrance way.

Match Rating: 3.5/5

Punk addresses the WWE crowd on his future.

Punk, who walked out toward the ring with Heyman, looked upset and confused before speaking. As he brought up the microphone to his mouth, Punk described the importance of the WWE Championship belt and wanting more in his title reign.

A loud chant broke out between The Undertaker and Punk. Punk handed the microphone over to Heyman and immediately left the ring.

Match No. 7: Nikki Bella vs. Kaitlyn

Your winner via pinfall: Nikki Bella.

The final match of Raw was another filler match leading into the main-event segment with Cena and Ryback.

Match Rating: 2.5/5

Cena, who was welcomed with a mix of cheers and boos, called out Ryback to the ring. As Cena began talking, an unintentional camera shot was shown of The Shield stretching backstage.

Cena continued to speak to Ryback about his excuses to turn heel on the WWE and told him he lacked what it takes to be a true champion.

Suddenly, and as expected with the backstage camera shot shown minutes earlier, The Shield came out and surrounded the ring. After a staredown, The Shield stormed inside the ring and attacked Cena while Ryback watched at ringside as Raw faded to black.
