In one of the weakest quarterback classes in some time, there are nonetheless several teams that have needs at the position and could decide to reach to select one in the first round.

But who are those teams? Which players might they target? Would it be the right decision?

Below, I've rounded up the six teams are the most likely to reach for a quarterback in this year's draft. All six are selecting in the first round and have compelling reasons for taking a chance on a quarterback this year.

Why Would the Team Reach?

In two seasons, Blaine Gabbert has yet to prove he can be the man. If Jacksonville has decided he's a lost cause, they'll target a quarterback at some point in this draft.

Who Would the Team Target?

Geno Smith. He's the best quarterback on the board this year.

Will the Team Reach?

No, I don't think so. There are far better options with the No. 2 pick, and enough depth at quarterback that the team should be able to find good value at the position later in the draft. Unless the Jags trade down, I don't see them selecting a quarterback in the first round.

Why Would the Team Reach?

Matt Flynn has very limited experience as a starter, and the fact that Oakland acquired him suggests Terrelle Pryor isn't ready to take over the role. The Raiders could look to add the quarterback of the future in this draft.

Who Would the Team Target?

Smith. You don't use a top-five pick on another quarterback in this draft.

Will the Team Reach?

Probably not. The addition of Flynn seems like a pretty clear indication that the Raiders will look to take care of other needs in the first round. Flynn has all the makings of a temporary solution at quarterback, and I don't think the team has totally abandoned the idea of Pryor being the future quarterback just yet.

Why Would the Team Reach?

With a new coach in Chip Kelly and the offensive style he brings, it remains to be seen if the Eagles have a quarterback on the roster that will fit the system. Michael Vick and Nick Foles remain, but Vick struggled last season and Foles is unproven.

With the No. 4 pick in the draft, the Eagles could likely get their man if they wanted to in the first round.

Who Would the Team Target?

Smith. His combination of athleticism and accuracy seems a logical fit for Kelly's offense.

Will the Team Reach?

I don't think so. With two quarterbacks that have started in the NFL and plenty of other needs, the Eagles would be best served taking the best player on the board. That won't be Smith. Besides, a player like E.J. Manuel will probably be available to the team in the second round.

Why Would the Team Reach?

The team added Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton is on the team as well, but neither is a long-term solution. If new coach Bruce Arians identified a quarterback that can run his system, he could pounce on him with the No. 7 pick.

Who Would the Team Target?

Whichever top-tier quarterback is available. If Smith drops to No. 7 the team could draft him, but a player like Ryan Nassib would probably be a better option for Arians' field-stretching offense.

Will the Team Reach?

It's doubtful. Adding Palmer seems like a clear indication the Cardinals aren't going to focus on the position in the first round, and addressing the offensive tackle position should be a huge priority for Arizona.

Why Would the Team Reach?

When Kevin Kolb is your top option at quarterback, you need to address the position. With Ryan Fitzpatrick gone, it would be very surprising if the Bills didn't add a quarterback at some point in this draft.

Who Would the Team Target?

Smith, Nassib or possibly even Matt Barkley. The top quarterback that drops to them at No. 8, basically.

Will the Team Reach?

I believe so. Like I said, Kolb is the team's top option, and it is very possible that Smith will drop to No. 8. I expect the Bills to be the first team to draft a quarterback.

New York Jets

Why Would the Team Reach?

Mark Sanchez is wildly inconsistent, Tim Tebow's tenure in New York has been disastrous and Greg McElroy played poorly in his one start last season. The Jets are a mess, and that certainly extends to the quarterback position.

Who Would the Team Target?

Smith, Nassib, Barkley or possibly even E.J. Manuel. With the Jets, you never quite know.

Will the Team Reach?

The Jets shouldn't, but it's possible. I didn't expect Sanchez to be taken so high in 2009 either. Still, Sanchez is still owed a ton of money and the Jets have very real needs on defense, so I think the team is more likely to wait on quarterbacks.
