2015 College Football Recruits Who Could Commit Soon

0 of 5

The 2014 recruiting cycle is nowhere near close to being over, and we have a very long way to go to sort a lot of things out with this current crop of recruits. More so, I'm still actually getting over the 2013 recruiting cycle.

So what would be the best thing to do right now? Hmm...well, how about we talk some 2015 recruiting? Glad you agree with me.

The era of the early commit is in full effect these days, so even though many 2015 recruits haven't even started their junior years in high school, it could be close to committing time for some of them. Now, the 2015 cycle won't be in the spotlight until next year, so we're still assembling names for the top recruits in that class.

However, I've come across a few of them who seem to be top-level recruits and, in relation to this list, appear to be close to making a decision soon.

5. Jordan Scarlett, RB

1 of 5

Scarlett is already 5'10", 197 pounds. He shows solid instincts for an underclassman RB and has good speed and elusiveness. He flashes some strength and will be a prospect to watch out of Florida.

Per 247Sports, he's narrowed his list to Alabama, Ohio State, Miami, LSU and Wisconsin. A recruit this young wouldn't be narrowing down his list at this point unless he was getting close to making a decision.

4. Sherrod Pittman, OLB

2 of 5

The 6'1", 215-pound Pittman is also from Florida and is a very talented 2015 recruit. He can chase ball-carriers sideline to sideline, shows quick scheme recognition and has been a turnover machine in his career.

As a sophomore, Pittman made 74 tackles and forced a remarkable seven fumbles. He has whittled his options down to Clemson, Florida and Florida State, according to 247Sports.

3. George Campbell, WR

3 of 5

A great athlete, Campbell immediately captures your attention on the hood. He stands a long 6'3" and weighs just about 185 pounds.

Campbell, who hails from Florida, has pretty good speed, movement skills and hands. He can also work as a ball-hawking safety and reminds me a little bit of Eddie Williams at that position.

Florida, Florida State and Michigan are his top three, reports 247Sports. Don't be shocked if he pulls the trigger soon.

2. Cecil Cherry, MLB

4 of 5

Cherry is a stout run-defending LB from Florida in the 2015 class and stands at 6'0", 220 pounds. He looks to be very strong, shows good short-area quickness to get to ball-carriers in tight boxes and has a physical approach to the game.

I think he'll commit to Florida early in the process, and that could be very soon.

1. Rico McGraw, S

5 of 5

Tennessee seems to be stepping up its talent production, as Jalen Hurd, Todd Kelly Jr. and Josh Malone are all standout prospects in the national 2014 class who hail from the state.

It's stopping with them, as McGraw is one of the top DBs in the 2015 class, and he, too, is a Tennessee native. The 6'1", 180-pounder has good ball skills, instincts and speed and can come up quickly to fill run alleys.

If Butch Jones wants him, he's going to have to jolt his effort because it appears McGraw could be pretty close to committing to Alabama, per 247Sports.
