The New York Knicks went into Sunday’s contest against their longtime rival, the Indiana Pacers, looking for a win that would lock up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

With Carmelo Anthony running on fumes—averaging 38.6 points and 37.3 minutes per game over seven April games prior to this one—the Knickerbockers direly wanted a “W” to get their superstar and the aging supporting cast some much-needed rest.

Were the Pacers able to keep their slim hopes of reclaiming the No. 2 spot in the conference alive, or was New York simply too much at home?
