It’s official. World No. 6 Andy Roddick became the second player in the world’s top 10 to get hitched. Last weekend, the 26-year-old Roddick married 21-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker in Austin, Texas—where Roddick is based.
According to People magazine, the event was attended by the couple’s closest friends and family. Notable personalities seen in the event were Sir Elton John; Andre Agassi and wife Steffi Graf; and tennis pros Justin Gimelstob, James Blake, and Mardy Fish.
The pair met two years ago after Roddick saw Decker in a magazine and requested his agent to find her number. The courtship reportedly lasted a year before Roddick popped the question.
On April 11, world No. 2 Roger Federer got married in a secret ceremony in his hometown of Basel, Switzerland.
Roddick announced on his Web site that he and his new wife will be honeymooning in Costa Rica.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
