The draw for the Champions League semifinal was made on Friday, with the two teams from Spain and two from Germany kept apart.
Bundesliga champions and last year's beaten finalists Bayern Munich will play Lionel Messi's Barcelona, with the first leg in Germany and the return at Camp Nou.
The other tie will see 2011-12 German champions Borussia Dortmund up against Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid. That one will also be seen to a conclusion in Spain.
First legs will be played on April 23 and 24. Second legs will be played on April 30 and May 1.
The draw keeps alive the possibility of a May Clasico final between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium in London. An all-German final, which would speak volumes to the quality of the Bundesliga, is also a possibility.
Dortmund and Madrid have already played twice in the group stage this season, with Dortmund winning at home and drawing 2-2 at the Bernabeu.
