Phillies Use Five-Run 1st Inning to Drub Mets

PHILADELPHIA -- Domonic Brown and Chase Utley homered in a five-run first, Kyle Kendrick threw six effective innings and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets 7-3 on Wednesday night. Pinch-hitter Laynce Nix also went deep for the Phillies, who took two straight from the Mets to earn their first series win of the year.
