In the new film 42, we see the heroic journey taken by Jackie Robinson in the '40s, when Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey made one of the most daring moves in the history of professional sports by taking a chance on Robinson and breaking baseball's color line.
Bleacher Report sat down with the film's stars, Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman, and talked to them briefly about their characters, the film (an absolute must-see) and the historic journey the characters find themselves on throughout director Brian Helgeland's retelling of this incredible true story.
42 opened nationwide on Friday, April 12 ahead of Jackie Robinson Day across Major League Baseball, celebrated on Monday, April 15.
