Hopeful pitching news for the Mets from Port St. Lucie Wednesday. Righthander Shaun Marcum came through a 30pitch bullpen feeling good Wednesday. It was the first time back on the mound for the righthander who had an injection Thursday for nerve inflammation in his neck. The Mets see it as a step forward considering Marcum had had issues with throwing off the mound twice before, but because it was his third setback of spring, and his history of injuries, they are being cautious and not planning another bullpen session until seeing how the 31-year old feels Thursday.
