Sixers Center Spencer Hawes Enjoying a Healthy Season

It was only a season ago when the Sixers started their lockout-shortened season by winning 20 of their first 29 games, mainly because of the play at the time of center Spencer Hawes. But Hawes suffered an Achilles' strain, which forced him to miss 29 of the 66 games. The team went into a free fall, losing 22 of its final 37 and barely squeezing into the playoffs, where they missed reaching the Eastern Conference finals by a win.
