Carlos Santana Leaves Game with Thumb Injury

Indians catcher Carlos Santana had to leave Monday's home opener against the Yankees with a thumb injury in the ninth inning. Santana appeared to be crossed up on the Chris Perez pitch, as he lowered his glove like he was expecting a breaking ball. Instead, Perez's fastball caught Perez squarely on his left thumb/wrist area.
