The Football League’s Financial Fair Play regulations come in to full force from the 2013-14 accounting year and it was confirmed yesterday that relegated clubs will definitely not be given additional time to adjust. There had been debate about whether demoted top-division clubs should be given an extra year’s grace but they will be subject to the same rules as the other Cham­pionship clubs from the next ­financial year.
