Wild Use Pominville Goal to Snap 3-Game Skid

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Niklas Backstrom made 24 saves, and newcomer Jason Pominville had a goal and an assist to help the Minnesota Wild snap a three-game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday night. Pominville, acquired this week from Buffalo, earned his first points with Minnesota. The Wild, coming off their first shutout loss of the season -- 3-0 at Los Angeles on Thursday -- got better as the game progressed on both ends of the ice.
