On Monday evening WWE head honcho Vince McMahon took to Twitter, teasing a big reveal slated for Friday.
Once Friday came, many fans were watching their Twitter feeds to see if "The Boss" had finally revealed anything.
Then, after hours of waiting for McMahon's big reveal, he finally tweeted the following that evening:
Vince McMahon @VinceMcMahon
And now, the #BigReveal! http://t.co/Qgb7qNbeFk @WrestleMania @MLStadium2013-4-6 01:43:40
Even though the video was cool and the set looks amazing, I felt a little disappointed by the tweet. Personally, I had hoped for some big insider news or at least an added match for WrestleMania 29. Let's face it; there are several deserving stars that are still not booked for the event.
In fact, many fans are longing to hear that the company has come to its senses and has added Antonio Cesaro to the card. Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen as Cesaro has been seemingly pushed to the back burner and doesn't have a running feud to speak of.
Now, Cesaro fans should keep in mind that if he is awarded a one-off match at 'Mania, that it really won't have the same feel as a long-standing feud which culminates at the event. That being said, I am almost relieved to see that the WWE is leaving him off of the card instead of throwing him in to some random match.
Overall, the WWE has done a solid job a making a mini New York inside of MetLife stadium. The fact is, the company has pulled out all of the stops to make the stage look larger than life.
In the end, we can only hope that the actual card holds up to all of the hype and that the WWE delivers another solid event at WrestleMania 29.
