It's disclosure time again: If you are not a fan of potential spoilers, there is no need to read any further.
Especially if you are looking forward to all that WWE has in store for WrestleMania.
All right, now with that out of the way, it's time to get down to business.
Well this news comes as bit of a surprise, as it appears the WWE will be featuring a title bout to kick off the pay-per-view.
According to WrestleZone.com:
According to a source within WWE, the plan as of this writing is to have the Tag Team Title Match, featuring Team Hell No vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston, open WrestleMania 29 on Sunday night.
The original plan was to have the mixed tag team match open the show, but as of today, the plan changed and currently the tag title match is set to open the show.
Overall, I am a bit shocked by this choice. Especially considering, the popularity and momentum that both of these teams have. Don't get me wrong, I kind of understand why the WWE would make this choice, as it is a match that many fans are anticipating. However, I think that the mixed tag match would be a better option to start things off.
Keep in mind, the WWE tends to switch things up a lot. So it's very likely that the company could change its mind and mix things up a bit.
That being said, we are roughly 48 hours away from this event, so I've got to believe that the WWE doesn't want to shake things up too much—especially this late in the game.
In the end, we will have to tune in to WrestleMania this Sunday to see if the company sticks to the plan or if it surprises us with an entirely different opening bout.
