With the advantage of six years’ hindsight, the We Believe season looks — like many of the best things in life — both deliriously fun and unsustainable. 2006-07 was my first year blogging about the Warriors after nearly two decades of fandom. The release that was the first playoff appearance and first series win of my adult life was a singular experience. The collection of misfits driving the run made the upset all the more improbable. But at the end, despite all the scream-til-you’re-hoarse thrills, the team ended up thoroughly beaten in the second round by a well-rounded opponent.
