In a battle with Eastern Conference postseason ramifications, the Chicago Bulls traveled to play the Brooklyn Nets. This marked the fourth and final battle between the two sides during the 2012-13 regular season.
With Chicago having won two of the first three, both sides were desperate to protect bragging rights and a potential postseason tiebreaker.
The Bulls entered this one at 40-33 overall and 19-17 on the road. They were .5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for fifth in the East and trailing Brooklyn by 2.5 games for fourth.
As for the Nets, they came in at 34-31. They sat 2.0 games ahead of Atlanta and 2.5 in front of the Bulls.
