Sometimes, all it takes is an opportunity.
NBA players, even those struggling for minutes, are rarely hard up for talent. For those who have the skills and the work ethic already, it's usually just a lack of experience and/or playing time that's holding them back. Sooner or later, those two variables take care of themselves.
Here is a group of guys set to do big things next year if their situations improve.
For some players, like Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter of the Utah Jazz, their ascension to the big show seems all but certain next season.
Others, such as the Boston Celtics' Jeff Green, New Orleans Hornets' Greivis Vasquez, Dallas Mavericks' O.J. Mayo and Houston Rockets' Omer Asik, already got their opportunity this year. They took the gig, ran with it and won't be giving it back anytime soon.
