Glasgow Celtic are set to renew links with Feyenoord, the club that supplied them former manager Wim Jansen and also iconic striker Henrik Larsson. Celtic it has been announced will take part in a pre-season tournament hosted by the Rotterdam club in August to mark the Dutch clubs centenary year.
The four-team Feyenoord Jubilee Cup' will also feature English club Tottenham Hotspur, and German club Borussia Dortmund.
Feyenoord have asked the Scottish side to take part as the they defeated Celtic in their 1970 European Cup final in Milan. Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund were also included as Feyenoord defeated both teams to win the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 2002 respectively.
Celtic have strong links with Feyenoord as former boss Wim Jansen managed both clubs while Celtic legend Henrik Larsson first came to prominence on the European scene with the Dutch side before moving onto Glasgow, current Celtic player Evander Sno also played for the Rotterdam club.
