Malaga vs. Borussia Dortmund: Champions League Live Score, Highlights and Recap
Malaga and Borussia Dortmund played out a goalless draw on Wednesday night at La Rosaleda.
Despite the lack of goals, the first half was pulsating to watch. Mario Gotze had two great chances for the visitors but on both occasions was thwarted by Willy Caballero.
The home side came more into the game towards the end of the first 45 though, Weligton came close and Gotze headed off the line at one point.
Robert Lewandowski fluffed his lines when presented with a great chance from 10 yards out in the second half and substitute Julian Schieber also came close.
At the other end Isco forced a great save from Weidenfeller, but as time ticked away both teams seemed happy to settle for the 0-0 draw.

So to Dortmund next week. The home side will be heavy favorites, but without an away goal will be wary of Malaga as an attacking force when the quarterfinal resumes.
The Malaga players take the applause of the home crowd after holding out for a 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund. In the first half the pace was fast and the football exciting but as the second half progressed both teams seemed prepared to head to Germany with a 0-0 draw.
92 - Borussia Dortmund substitution.
Oliver Kirch replaces Mario Gotze
90 - Into stoppage time...
89 - Antunes fires over.
Malaga have a free kick in a great area to put in a teasing delivery, but instead play it across sideways to the Portuguese left-back who blazes high.
87 - Malaga substitution.
Isco is replaced by Duda as Pellegrini makes his final switch.
86 - Dortmund waste a free kick.
Schmelzer takes a short one to Gündogan, but the midfielders delivery is safely into the arms of Willy - wasted free kick.
84 - Schieber blazes over!
Only just on Schieber turns dangerously onto his left foot in the box, but lashes at the ball and flies high, wide and handsome.
79 - Borussia Dortmund substitution.
Sebastian Kehl is replaced by Sven Bender.
77 - Cynical foul from Iturra.
The Malaga midfielder got the wrong side of Lewandowski and cynically brought him down to prevent a swift counter from Borussia Dortmund on the half way line. He picks up a booking for his troubles.
76 - Malaga substitution.
Roque Santa Cruz replaces Julio Baptista.
In the other game - if you didn't know - it is now Real Madrid 3-0 Galatasaray.
69 - Borussia Dortmund substitute.
Reus replaced by Schieber.
67 - Malaga substitution.
Javier Saviola is replaced by Francisco Portillo.
66 - Great hit from Isco... Then Toulalan!
Isco fizzes a great effort through a crowded box of bodies but finds Weidenfeller equal to it. Seconds later Toulalan tests him from 30 yards, resulting in a more comfortable save.
65 - Gotze close again!
Great play from Gündogan puts Gotze clear in the box, but the youngster carries the ball slightly too far and from a tightening angle fires wide across Willy's goal.
63 - Messi-like run from Toulalan!
The French midfielder goes on a winding run to win Malaga a corner kick and relieve some of the pressure they're coming under. The corner is wasted though.
61 - BVB long throw continues their pressure.
Pellegrini's commented this week that it's important for Malaga to keep a clean sheet tonight, and it does seem their priority. They've dropped a little deeper and while Dortmund enjoy all the possession they haven't created anything a kin to the Gotze chances. Yet.
Ruud van Nistelrooy among the spectators at La Rosaleda - maybe he didn't have the invite to the Bernabeu.— futbolgrande (@futboIgrande) April 3, 2013
A quick fact - only Bayern Munich (in the German Cup) have prevented BVB from scoring in a game so far this season. Worrying for Malaga.
54 - Things have slightly eased up
Not so much end-to-end these last five minutes, but it's safe to say my fingers needed that after some pulsating football.
47 - Lewandowski fluffs big chance!
A cutback to the Dortmund forward finds him unmarked on the edge of the area, but he appears to slip and fluffs his shot comically wide. That was a HUGE opportunity. Although the pattern of the match suggests more will come.
46 - Dortmund chance already.
First minute, first chance for BVB. First of all they want a handball inside the box, then from the rebound Willy is forced into his first save of the half.
