Another day means another set of rumors surrounding football clubs, in particular Manchester United.

No surprise here. New players are always being linked to the Red Devils every day, hour, minute and so on.

So before further ado, here are the latest transfer rumors surrounding Sir Alex Ferguson's men.

As usual, take this news with a grain of salt. United may not actually sign these players or even be interested at all.

The first rumor comes to us via talkSPORT. The website states that United is interested in signing Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz.

Supposedly, Ferguson has been keeping an eye on the 27-year old since he scored against the Reds in the Champions League last November.

Yilmaz's estimated price is £10 million. Galatasaray bought the player for £4 million in July from Trabzonspor.

But United is not the only team looking at the Turkish player. Liverpool and Arsenal are thought to be interested as well

Yilmaz could help any of these teams. He is a prolific goal scorer. Currently he is the joint top goal scorer in the Champions League with eight goals. Cristiano Ronaldo has also scored eight.

Galatasaray are not opposed to offers for Yilmaz.

Manager Fatih Terim told The Observer that he knows it will be difficult to get the Turkish international to stay.

Yilmaz may be on his way out, but to Manchester United? It's still very unclear. Sure the Red Devils can use yet another forward, but do they need one? Probably not.

Another name that has surfaced in the past few days has been Thiago Alcantara.

The young Barcelona midfielder is apparently unhappy at Barcelona and looking for a new team.

The Daily Mail states that Alcantara's father Mazinho said his son should be playing more and may look outside of Barcelona for a new team. He says that if Alcantara wants to be a part of Spain's 2014 World Cup squad, he needs more playing time.

Mazinho also said that Alcantara can play a lot more at any other team in the world. Whether one of those teams is Manchester United remains to be seen.

Alcantara is a really good player, but he will most likely find it just as difficult to break into United's squad as he does Barcelona. But with Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes nearing the end of their careers, Alcantara may be in luck.

Ferguson also seems to be keen on the player.

18 months ago, United's £15 million bid for Alcantara was rejected by Barcelona. Perhaps this summer, a new bid will not be.

It will be interesting whether Manchester United actually bid for these players. The transfer window does not open until July 1.
