Washington — Midway through the first half of Saturday’s East Regional final in the Verizon Center, the giant center-court scoreboard flashed an image of President Barack Obama. Obama was seated in a private box, secured high above the basketball court. He had picked Indiana to defeat Syracuse in the Sweet 16, but Orange players did not hold that against him.
