UFC 97: Redemption Stats

UFC 97: Redemption in Montreal, Quebec, Canada had a reported attendance of 21,451 which netted Zuffa a live gate of $4.9 million.
The UFC awarded $70,000 “superlative” bonuses for the event. Canada’s own Sam Stout, along with Matt Wiman, won the “Fight of the Night” award. Krzysztof Sosynzski won “Submission of the Night,” and Mauricio Rua was awarded the “Knockout of the Night” bonus.
In the post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White announced that if current UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is able to defeat challenger Thiago Alves this July at UFC 100, he could potentially fight Anderson Silva later on this year in Toronto.
White also, once again, stated his thoughts that Chuck Liddell will retire from active competition and announced plans for Liddell to assume a new role within the Zuffa family.
