As the clock approached midnight in the central time zone, the Cinderella run of the No. 15 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles ended at Cowboys Stadium.

After rushing out to a hot start, the Eagles' high-energy offense was thwarted by Florida, who went on a 23-2 run to end the first half and begin the second half.

Florida's defense was also suffocating as the Eagles turned the ball over 20 times in the loss.

Another key statistic that helped the Gators prevail in Arlington was their 14-of-23 line in the free throw shooting department.

The Gators will now play No. 4 Michigan with a spot in the Final Four on the line on Sunday in the South Regional Final.
