In clearing a 40-man roster spot for another move, the Brewers placed right-hander Josh Stinson on waivers and he was claimed by Oakland, the team announced Friday. Stinson, 25 was claimed off waivers from the New York Mets by the Brewers at the end of spring training last year. He went 11-9 with a 3.16 ERA in 29 games (24 starts) at Class AA Huntsville before being called up by the Brewers in September. He compiled a 0.96 ERA in six outings (one start) for Milwaukee.
