College: TCU
Position: C
Physical Stats: 6'3, 290
Combine/Pro Day Stats: 4.79 40 yard dash (Lead all C's)
Projected Stock: Sixth-Seventh
Strengths:
- Great at pulling
- Very quick for a C
- Good long snapper
- Good footwork
- Good hands
Weaknesses:
- Not very strong
- Doesn't have a great first step
- Might have trouble with NT's
Teams Interested:
Cowboys have sent the most scouts, but really he's up for grabs to any team in need of a C, as he's the eighth rated C in the draft.
Other Comments:
Blake started the year as a pretty good prospect, but moved down due to size as the year went on. He shocked everyone at the TCU pro day, which had TCU a record setting 40 scouts in attendance, with a ridiculous 4.79 40 yard dash.
He also shocked everyone by gaining 15 pounds since the Boise St game. He's gained 70 pounds from his freshman year to now at 290. He's shown a lot of potential if he gains some more weight. He was recruited at TCU as a FB who converted to C, so he has shown he can be very versatile. Blake is definitely worth the seventh round pick that he'll most likely be.
