LAWRENCE — No. 1 seed Kansas was supposed to be in the Sweet 16; No. 9 seed Wichita State was not. But together, the two schools have pulled off something that hasn’t been accomplished since 1988: Two Kansas men’s basketball teams in the Sweet 16. (KU and K-State faced off in the Elite Eight in 1988.)
