It's disclosure time again: If you are not a fan of spoilers, there is no need to read any further.

Especially if you are looking forward to all that WWE has in store for Friday night's SmackDown.

All right, now with that out of the way, it's time to get down to business.

Big news coming from Hershey, Pa., as it appears that the GM everyone loves to hate will be making his TV return this Friday.

According to WrestlingInc.com:

John Laurinaitis will make his return to WWE TV on this Friday's episode of SmackDown, taped tonight in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Laurinaitis returned by interrupting The Rock's promo to kick off the show. He revealed that Teddy Long gave him permission to come out. Laurinaitis mentioned John Cena was the reason he got fired from WWE and he wanted to be in The Rock's corner at WrestleMania 29. Rock ended up shaking hands with Laurinaitis but laid him out with a spinebuster and a People's Elbow.

Personally, I never understood why "Big Johnny" never got over with the fans. To me, he played the perfect heel authority figure and was a great fit for the time.

Unfortunately, the rest of the WWE Universe disagreed with my opinion and "Johnny Ace's" WWE tenure came to a screeching halt during the summer of 2012.

Keep in mind, even though I am a fan, I never thought for one second that he should have been main eventing pay-per-view's. Especially considering the fact that he was being billed above the company's champion, which was a complete travesty to me.

Ultimately, he will probably go down in history as one of the most purely hated heels that the WWE has ever had. Let's face it, many fans loathed him almost as much as former WWE announcer Mike Adamle. This is saying a lot, because unlike Adamle, Laurinaitis understands the business and really knows how to evaluate talent.

Overall, this was probably a one-off appearance for Laurinaitis. There is currently really no place for him on either Raw or SmackDown. That being said, the WWE is probably just using him to help out during WrestleMania season and will have him once again disappear after this random re-emergence.
