GLENDALE, AZ - JANUARY 08: The shoulder pads and jersey of Eric Rutledge #29 of the Florida Gators sit in a pile of confetti after defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 41-14 during the 2007 Tostitos BCS National Championship Game at the University of Phoeni

Every Saturday in the fall, we watch them run up and down the field, carrying 30 pounds of equipment with them at all times. That equipment is covered by a uniform. A uniform is a sign of a team, almost like a family.

These uniforms unite the players and show who they are and who they are competing against. In this Top 10 uniform slideshow, I am showing you "in my opinion" the best looking college football uniforms in the NCAA.

No. 10: South Florida Bulls (White Helmets)

The Bulls waited until the end of the season, the St. Petersburg Bowl to be specific, to bust out the white helmets. In my honest opinion, the Bulls should go to the white helmets instead of those puke colored gold helmets.

No. 9: Oklahoma Sooners

As you get further in this slideshow you will figure out that to me, the simpler the better. I love to watch the Sooners just because of their unis. It is the perfect combination of red and white.

No. 8: LSU Tigers (White Helmets w/ short striped jerseys)

LSU broke out these beauty's against Tulane University to raise money for the relief effort from Hurricane Katrina. The Tigers should go to these full time.

No. 7 Oregon Ducks (All White)

The "Diamond Plate" on the knee and shoulder pads symbolize toughness to me. Oregon looks great in these uniforms. The only changes I would make is to remove the OREGON on the legs of the pants. The ducks also look great when they wear their white helmets with these beauty's.

No. 6: Auburn Tigers (All-White)

Auburn is beautiful no matter if they wear their white or blue uniforms. Their white looks better to me. I love a team that goes all-white, including their helmets.

No. 5: Geoegia Bulldogs (Black)

ATHENS, GA - SEPTEMBER 27: Quarterback Matthew Stafford #7 of the Georgia Bulldogs tries to get his team to the line and call a play late in the game while taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide at Sanford Stadium on September 27, 2008 in Athens, Georgia. Al

Georgia decided they needed a black uniform to complement the black stripe on their pants. I think that was the best decision ever made in Athens. They broke them out two fall's ago against rival Auburn, and in the Sugar bowl against Hawaii.

Georgia won both of those games rather easily. But this last season, the magic may have worn off when they wore black in their biggest game of the regular season against Alabama. Georgia ended up wearing black to their own funeral, as the Bulldogs lost 41-30 in a game that wasn't even that close.

No. 4: USC Trojans

PASADENA, CA - JANUARY 1: Taylor Mays #2 of the USC Trojans looks on against the Penn State Nittany Lions on January 1, 2009 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. USC won 38-24. (Photo by Jeff Golden/Getty Images)

Not many schools could pull off such a combination of an ugly yellow and red as beautifully as the Trojans does. One way USC convinces such good recruits to come to LA is that they get to wear these.

No. 3: Texas Longhorns

GLENDALE, AZ - JANUARY 05: Quarterback Colt McCoy #12 of the Texas Longhorns drops back to pass during the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on January 5, 2009 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. (Photo by Doug

Burnt orange and white couldn't be pulled off better than the Longhorns do it. They also look awesome in their all-white unis.

No. 2: Alabama Crimson Tide

NEW ORLEANS - JANUARY 02: Quarterback John Parker Wilson #14 of the Alabama Crimson Tide rolls out of the pocket in the second quarter while taking on the Utah Utes during the 75th Allstate Sugar Bowl at the Louisiana Superdome on January 2, 2009 in New

Alabama's unis have simplicity written all over them. Alabama keeps it simple with the numbers on the uniforms and the only stripes being the ones on the pants. CLASSIC.

No. 1: Penn State Nittany Lions

STATE COLLEGE - NOVEMBER 22: Anthony Scirrotto #7 of the Penn State Nittany Lions returns an interception in front of Charlie Gantt #83 of the Michigan State Spartans on November 22, 2008 at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Joe S

Penn State keeps everything as simple as possible, and have always been that way. I love the simplicity—no decals, stripes, and no erratic designs that Nike is known for.
