Well, it looks like Paris Saint-Germain will have Zlatan Ibrahimovic available against Barcelona when the teams meet in a Champions League clash after all.
From L'ÉQUIPE on Twitter:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic jouera contre le FC Barcelone (suspension réduite) http://t.co/CrAkoLOsvs3/26/2013, 3:25:54 PM
Translation: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play against FC Barcelona (suspension reduced)."
Obviously, having Ibra available against the mighty Catalans is huge for PSG. Ibra is easily PSG's most dangerous player, with 30 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for the French side.
If PSG hopes to advance in this draw, it almost assuredly have to gain an advantage in Paris when these teams meet on Tuesday.
Of course, even that may not be enough. AC Milan held a 2-0 advantage to Barca after the teams played at San Siro in the last round, yet still ended up losing 4-2 after the Catalans destroyed them at Camp Nou.
Still, having Ibra available is excellent news. PSG won't be able to control possession against the crisp tiki-taka style of Barcelona—and likely won't be able to completely contain Lionel Messi—but few players in the world have the same flair for the spectacular that Ibrahimovic possesses.
Even if Barca controls the pace of the game, it only takes an insane Ibra goal or two for PSG to escape with a victory and advantage in the home-and-home.
Well, if Ibrahimovic can keep his cool and stay away from those red cards, that is.
