NY Rangers Unable to Overcome Slow Start in Loss to Capitals

The Rangers finally got scoring from a depth forward, but another slow start did them in. Arron Asham, a fourth-line grinder playing for the first time in more than a month due to a sore back, shook the Blueshirts out of another poor opening with a first-period goal off the rush that helped them at least pick up a point against the Washington Capitals.
