It's not the year of the murderous dunk, the year of the young point guard or even the year of the Miami Heat streak. It's the year of the half-court shot, and now Kevin Durant has gotten in on the celebrations.

This year, much more than any other in recent memory, has given us a huge influx of fans making half-court shots for giant checks, and NBA players seem to be more excited than the actual shot-makers when it happens.

Justin Dougherty got the news that he was going to be taking shots during the game and just asked for prayers.

Dougherty drained the shot, ran around in glee at the realization that he had won $20,000 and was promptly met with a leaping Durant.

The reaction Durant had was about the same reaction my 100-pound Husky has anytime he hears fireworks, as he sprinted toward Dougherty, leapt into his arms and promptly dragged him to the ground.

Daugherty's reaction was probably how we would all react: complete and utter glee.

If you recall, this is the second time a fan has been tackled by a giant basketball player for winning some dough this season, as LeBron James did just that back in January.

The only thing that seems certain is that basketball players love seeing fans win money, and we all love to watch it all unfold.
