KANSAS CITY, MO. — Ole Miss, a 12 seed, and No. 13 La Salle will play today (6:40 p.m., TruTV) for a berth in the NCAA West Regional Sweet 16. On paper, not much separates the two potential Cinderellas. Ole Miss beat Florida once and Missouri twice, but lost to South Carolina and Missisippi State. La Salle beat Villanova, Butler and VCU, but lost to Central Connecticut and Charlotte. The Rebels had to win the SEC’s automatic bid in order to avoid the First Four, while the Explorers had to go to Dayton and beat Boise State just to make it to Kansas City. Ole Miss has not been to the Sweet 16 since 2001, but La Salle it trying to make it to that round for the first time since 1955.
