Louisville Steamrolls Colorado State on Way to Sweet 16
Louisville 82, Colorado State 56
They say defense wins championships.
If that old addage is true, the No. 1 Louisville Cardinals are well on their way to the National Championship.
The Cardinals forced No. 8 Colorado State to turn the ball over 19 times, a season-high for the Rams out of the Mountain West Conference.
On the offensive end, Russ Smith was the star for the Cardinals as he scored a game-high 27 points and shot 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
In the losing effort, Greg Smith scored 14 for the Rams.
Louisville will now face the winner of the No. 12 Oregon vs. No. 5 Saint Louis game in the Sweet 16 in Indianapolis.

The defensive pressure is continuing with plenty of success as well for Louisville.
Colorado State has been unable to find a rhythm all night.

The Rams look very disjointed on the offensive end.
Give plenty of credit to the stingy Louisville defense, they deserve all of the credit for the Louisville lead.
