Juan Miranda is a 6', 200 pound first baseman out Consulacion del Sur, Cuba.

Miranda signed a four-year contact with the Yankees in 2006.

Juan displays solid power and patience at the plate. He can also be a decent run-producer from the first-base position.

He isn't much of a hitter for average, so he needs to continue to hit for power on a consistent basis. His defense at first is only average.

In 2008 Miranda played in 99 games and had 356 at bats in AAA Scranton Wilkes-Barre. He hit 12 homers, 52 RBI, 22 doubles, and a .287 batting average.

He played five games at the major league level collecting 10 at-bats. He hit .400 with one double and one RBI.
