Iowa State eliminated Notre Dame Friday night in second-round NCAA tournament action. The Cyclones cruised to a 76-58 victory over the Fighting Irish, unchallenged throughout much of the second half.

No. 7 Notre Dame suffered another early tourney exit, the latest in a serious of postseason failures for Fighting Irish coach Mike Brey. He may find himself on the hot seat after a frustrating defeat.

No. 10 Iowa State advances to the Field of 32, where a West Region matchup with Ohio State awaits on Sunday. The Cyclones defeated UConn in the first round of the tournament last March.
